Eynesbury Scholarship Schemes 2010/2011

Eynesbury offers two scholarship schemes, the Eynesbury Merit Scholarship (EMS) and the Eynesbury ELICOS Scholarship (EES) for international students undertaking study at Eynesbury in 2010/2011.

 

Eyensbury Merit Scholarship (EMS)

EMS is available to international students who have achieved very good results (typically 70% or B grade average) in their most recent studies (Year 9 or equivalent) in their home country.

EMS targets international students who will commence their Year 10 Senior High School Studies Program between1 March 2010 and 30 June 2011 at Eynesbury College (EC) in Adelaide and will complete at least their Year 11 studies at Eynesbury College.

The Scholarship comprises a discount of 50% on the tuition fees for the normal duration of the two semester Year 10 Senior High School Studies Program.

Modified EMS is available to international students who have achieved outstanding results (typically 80% or A grade average) in their most recent studies (Year 11 or equivalent) in their home country and will commence the South Australian Universities’ Foundation Studies Program(FSP) between1 March 2010 and 30 June 2011 at Eynesbury College (EC).

The Scholarship comprises a discount of 25% on the tuition fees for the normal duration (a maximum of 1 year) of the two semester FSP.

 

Application Process

There is no separate application process for the scholarships. The Application Form for admission to the Year 10Senior High School Studies Program or the South Australian Universities’ Foundation Studies Program will include an application request for an EMS (includes modified) . All applications for admission consistent with the eligibility and selection criteria and requesting to apply for a scholarship will be considered. No application fee is required to accompany the application for admission.

Eynesbury Scholarship Schemes 2010/2011
  • Each Scholarship comprises a discount of 50% (EMS) or 25% (modified EMS) on tuition fees for the normal duration of the program, ie a maximum of one year. Scholarships will be awarded strictly on academic merit on a competitive basis according to the minimum academic entry requirements for Year10 Senior High School studies or the South Australian Universities’ Foundation Studies Program as published in the Eynesbury prospectus and on the Eynesbury website. Up to 15 scholarships will be awarded in each of the Eynesbury programs mentioned in the table. Applicants who have already commenced studies at Eynesbury at the time of application will not be considered.

  • Applicants are required to enrol at Eynesbury as "international students" and must maintain "international student" status for the duration of their enrolment at Eynesbury. Scholarship recipients who obtain Australian permanent resident status during the course of their Eynesbury studies will forfeit their scholarship.

  • Scholarships are available for the normal two semester duration of the program, ie a maximum of one year, subject to satisfactory progress. Extensions beyond the normal duration of the program are not available.
  • All successful Scholarship recipients will be required to pay 50% of the current tuition fees for their academic program prior to commencing study at Eynesbury.
  • All successful Scholarship recipients will be required to pay their own Overseas Student Health Cover for the full duration of the academic program at Eynesbury.
  • Successful Scholarship recipients requiring preparatory English language courses (ELICOS) prior to commencement of their academic program at Eynesbury must undertake those studies at their own cost.
  • Scholarships under this scheme cover the listed study programs at Eynesbury only.
  • Scholarship recipients must commence the listed formal study programs at Eynesbury between 1 March 2010 and 30 June 2011. Scholarship recipients will not be permitted to defer commencement to a date after 30 June 2011.

 

Eyensbury ELICOS Scholarship (EES)

EES is available to all international students who will commence at least 20 weeks of ELICOS, between1 March 2010 and 30 June 2011 and the ELICOS packaged with an academic program at Eynesbury in Adelaide.The Application Form for admission to ELICOS, packaged with an academic program at Eynesbury, will include an application request for an EES. All applicants for admission who comply with the eligibility and selection criteria, have requested an EES and have not received any other Navitas/Eynesbury Scholarship will be awarded an EES.

The Scholarship comprises a discount of 25% on the packaged ELICOS tuition fees.
