Flinders University crestThe Degree Transfer Program (DTP) is conjointly delivered by Eynesbury International and Flinders University. The DTP targets 'A' level, Year 12, Senior Middle 3 or equivalent graduates. Students successfully completing the DTP are given entry into Semester 2 of Year 1 at Flinders University.

The DTP has two components:

Stage 1

A 15 week 'Express' University transition program delivered by Eynesbury.

Stage 2

Courses from Semester 1 of undergraduate programs at Flinders University delivered on campus at Flinders with additional language and academic support provided by Eynesbury.

Students who have successfully completed Stage 1 are admitted into Stage 2 where they share classes with direct entrants into undergraduate programs of the university.

At the time of application, students who satisfy the necessary English language and academic requirements are given conditional entry into undergraduate programs at Flinders University subject to: 

  1. Performance in Stage 1
  2. Satisfactory completion of Stage 2 consistent with both the initial letter of offer and achievement levels specified for completion of Stage 2.

Certain Flinders programs may be subject to a quota or other entry requirements.

Program Structure - Stage 1

Core Courses

  • Language and Communication (4 hours per week)
  • International Studies (4 hours per week)
  • Clear Thinking and Logic (2 hours per week)


Elective Courses

Students select three (3) from the following, depending on program pre-requisites

Social Sciences

Science/Health Science/Engineering

Accounting

Additional Mathematics

Economics

Biology

Psychology (subject to quota)

Chemistry

 

Mathematics

 

Physics

Overall, students have up to 25 hours of contact per week.

Program Structure - Stage 2

This comprises:

  • Courses conducted by Flinders University in which DTP graduates share classes with direct entrants into undergraduate programs.
  • An Academic Transition Program (ATP) delivered by Eynesbury at Eynesbury involving 2 hours per week of English language and academic support.
