University Foundation Studies Program English Language Entry Requirements Proficiency in English is essential for successful study at University. All applicants must demonstrate an acceptable level of English to gain admission to the Foundation Studies Program. When selection is made, consideration is given to the relevance of subjects and the academic standard required for the preferred university degree program. Certified forecast/provisional examination results may be considered if final results are not available in time for the beginning of the course. Degree Transfer Program English Language Requirements Academic Entry Requirements In the case of countries for which the final year of schooling is recognised by Flinders University, entry requirements would be 5 TER points lower for entry into Stage 1 of the DTP than those required for direct entry into Semester 1 of the undergraduate program. In the case of countries for which the final year of schooling is not recognised by Flinders University, students would need to have demonstrated above average performance of at least C grade in their senior high school certificate. Certificate IV in University Foundation Studies Entry Requirements Students are expected to have achieved the equivalent of 5.5 IELTS or 525 (Paper) 195 (Computer) TOEFL at the time of entry to the Certificate or Diploma programs - but they are NOT formally required to take a TOEFL or IELTS test as a condition of enrolment.
