Experience the Difference UniSA was officially established in 1991 and has quickly grown to become the fifth largest university in Australia and one of the largest providers of education to international students. Currently, it has a total student population of over 32,000. UniSA continues to affirm its status as a modern and progressive university through its ability to recognise and adopt future innovations in education, training and research. UniSA is part of the Australian Technology Network (ATN), a powerful coalition of five leading Australian universities which, together, teach more than 137,000 students (20% of the Australian university population) including around 26,000 international students. UniSA offers a range of innovative and internationally recognised programs and provides their students with the practical experience, knowledge and qualifications needed to embark on a successful and rewarding career. It currently offers over 115 undergraduate programs in fields ranging from biotechnology and podiatry to e-commerce and civil aviation. UniSA has over 3,500 international students from more than 80 countries throughout Asia, the Pacific, Africa, Europe and America. Our international students comprise roughly 12% of our on-campus student population and we have a range of academic and personal support services in place to specially cater for their needs. Our programs are developed in close consultation with community, industry and professional bodies and provide students with opportunities to undertake industry fieldwork, participate in professional placements, work on industry driven projects and even travel and study overseas. This means that if you choose to study one of our undergraduate programs you won’t just graduate with a degree but you’ll graduate with the essential experience required to embark on the career you really want. Our academic staff are constantly in touch with what’s happening outside the lecture theatre and are able to pass on the latest and most relevant knowledge to their students. We are proud of our tradition but are shaped to a greater degree by the promise of our future. Combine our student-centred and international approach to teaching, our strong and growing relationships with industry, the development of new programs and courses for new and emerging professions and our use of new technologies and you have a university that’s not only relevant for today but well positioned for tomorrow.
